Chai Lifeline Canada is passionately devoted to supporting children and families who are facing life-threatening and chronic illness by doing the incredible every day
Our six Case Managers are stretched to capacity. Funds are needed to hire two additional Case Managers to support the growing needs in our community with one-on-one support and the full range of our services.
A network of more than 600 volunteers cook and deliver meals, offer rides to school or appointments, provide tutoring and friendship and more, ensuring that every member of our families is supported.
Events, such as apple picking, holiday celebrations, and visits to amusement venues, put smiles on children’s faces and provides a respite from day-to-day stress for the whole family.
In 2009, Penina’s Helping Hand was founded in memory of Penina Rubinoff. It is a lifeline to young children and teens whose parents are ill and provides support, services, and annual trips to Disneyworld and to two other destinations in Canada.
When a crisis occurs, CIT members are on-call to work with families, schools, and synagogues. They are trained to provide immediate support to those impacted as they deal with the shock and develop a response.
It has been said that it takes a village to raise a child, and to
our Chai Lifeline Canada families, we are their village. We are the support they never knew they needed, and family they can trust and rely on.
