Montreal Office and Events Coordinator

Part-Time (15-25 Hours per week)


The Office and Events Coordinator
will interface regularly with Chai Lifeline Canada’s staff, donors, clients and volunteers and will work closely with the Director of Chai Lifeline Canada, Montreal. The Office and Events Administrator is responsible for handling our office functions and helping to plan events in collaboration with colleagues and volunteer leaders. This position is integral to ensure the continued excellence of our services, events and support for our staff and volunteers. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, organized, creative and a good communicator.

 

For almost 18 years, Chai Lifeline Canada has been providing services to children and families who are impacted by chronic or life-threatening illness. Responsibilities include:

  • Office administration
  • Planning and implementation of creative family events and support for our fundraising events
  • Vendor negotiation, purchasing, reconciling expenses and budget assistance
  • Donor stewardship and processing of donations
  • Collaborate with and provide support to staff.

Qualifications

  • Passion for the work of Chai Lifeline Canada and to positively impact our community 
  • Relevant work or volunteer experience
  • Creative, organized and can manage your time well
  • Competent with computers (Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Good writing skills
  • Ability to take work independently as well as within an interdisciplinary team
  • Valid driver’s license and access to regular use of a car 
  • Some flexible hours and evenings and weekends
  • A Cegep or university diploma is an asset, but not a requirement
  • Basic or conversational French is considered an asset.
