Office Manager – Montreal

Chai Lifeline Canada is seeking a Office Manager to oversee logistical functions of our office as our team expands. Powered by donors and volunteers, Chai Lifeline Canada has been able to help thousands of families over the last decade and we’re just starting!

About You

You’re a  highly motivated, results and team-oriented professional able to take full responsibility for the smooth running of our operations and organization ensuring that our clients needs are being met. .You have experience in handling a wide range of relationship-oriented activities from administrative, to IT  support, and all with a smile on your face. We’re a small office and we all help each other as needed throughout the day and throughout the year. You thrive on taking on extra responsibilities and helping however you can.


  • Collaborate with coworkers and board to organize events from inception to execution, sourcing and cost comparing appropriate venues, caterers and entertainment , designing invites, marketing event brochure advertising space to smaller donors, maintaining up to date records of attendees and budget.
  • Develop relationships with community leaders including Rabbi’s and School Principles as well as members of our board and volunteers
  • Assist Family Services team,  Board and Director in exploring appropriate venues for events and for volunteers to take clients
  • Source Gift Cards and Art Supplies
  • Collaborate with Marketing Coordinator to ensure regional Social Media channels are effective
  • Greet clients, donors and volunteers to office and answer telephone and email enquiries
  • Oversee general organization of office including files and supplies
  • Ensure thank you cards and acknowledgments are sent out in a timely manner
  • Provide onsite and offsite logistical support as needed
  • Reach out to landlord and cleaning service regarding general upkeep of office and troubleshooting any issues
  • Oversee onboarding of new staff ensuring they have access to our email, online logging system, phone line and supplies needed


This position will suit you if you are extremely organized, have strong attention to detail, are self-driven, comfortable wearing many hats, outgoing/social, can multitask, prioritize, and can work within the team or independently with minimum supervision.

You should have:

  • Minimum 3 years of previous office management or administrative experience
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • A positive disposition
