Director of Marketing

In this senior leadership role, the Marketing Director will develop and implement a marketing strategy across the organization to promote the work of Chai lifeline Canada. The Marketing Director will expand and manage the organization’s profile within the community and with supporters.

Specific accountabilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Provide leadership, direction, planning and implementation of the strategic vision and brand for all aspects of marketing and communications for the organization, incorporating our family services and fundraising initiatives into the plans
    • Ensure Chai Lifeline Canada’s strategic focus is appropriately communicated in all outgoing materials, including fundraising and general communications
    • Ensure effectiveness of Chai Lifeline Canada’s messaging and impact in the community
    • Oversee all aspects of and manage staff in the marketing department  
    • Work with the Director of Development to develop high quality materials for fundraising and other major events, programs, sponsorship initiatives and lead generation efforts.
    • Produce Chai Lifeline Canada’s Annual Report
    • Develop marketing budgets, including expenditures, research and development, return-on-investment, and income projections
    • Manage effective social media outreach
    • Oversee marketing team to produce regular podcasts, ongoing blog posts and innovative video content.
    • Work with staff and volunteers to develop and implement initiatives for new audiences through events, promotions, and other communications/marketing efforts
    • Develop policies and procedures for marketing and communications that promote the interests of Chai Lifeline Canada
    • Collaborate with Director of Operations on maintenance of website 
    • Oversee and implement digital marketing campaigns including Meta Ads, Google Adwords, YouTube and Podcast Index, LinkedIn, Twitter etc.
    • Other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications:

  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree 
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing and communications in a leadership capacity.
  • Experience with project management and working with nonprofit organizations is a plus 
  • Knowledge of the Jewish community and traditions is an asset
  • Strong competency in all Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), social media tools (such as Hootsuite, Constant Contact, Illustrator etc), and the ability to quickly master new software
  • Superior written communication and copy experience 
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Committed to community and a passion for the mission of Chai Lifeline Canada
  • Experience working with WordPress and Elementor
