Volunteers are the backbone of Chai Lifeline Canada. Without you, we would not be able to accomplish the amazing things that Chai Lifeline Canada offers their families. 

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in these families lives through different volunteer opportunities such as: Deliveries of homecooked meals or medications, transporting kids and parents to and from appointments, volunteering at family events, volunteering at equine therapy, by being a Big Sibling and much more.

To become a volunteer, you would need to fill out the application which can be found here. After you send in your application, one of our Volunteer Coordinators will get in touch with you within 24hrs to arrange an interview and training.

The best ways to find out about volunteer opportunities are by joining our WhatsApp groups after your interview. If you do not use WhatsApp, you can keep in touch with us via Email to see if there are any events or help needed. As well, keep an eye on our website for an updated list of upcoming events.

We accept ages 14+ NOTE: Some of the available positions for 14-15 are Drop in Room, Family Events, Fundraising, and assisting in the office. There are opportunities that come up throughout the year for ages 12-14.

At Chai Lifeline Canada, we only require a weekly commitment for the Big Sibling program. If you would like to help us out on a regular weekly bases, we can work with you to help accommodate a time that works with your schedule.

Any money you spend for Chai Lifeline Canada, you will be fully reimbursed for and can do so here.  NOTE: For Big Siblings: to get reimbursed for food purchased, it must be certified Kosher.

In the case of a lost receipt, we will unfortunately not be able to reimburse you. The best way to avoid loss of receipt and not being reimbursed, we ask that you take a picture of the receipt immediately.
