Chai Lifeline Canada is  seeking a passionate individual with experience in digital marketing and communications to maximize our efforts of raising awareness and funds to support the diverse needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will be a driven self-starter who can develop, implement, manage, and optimize  strategic content creation, and both digital marketing & advertising plans.  

You are a highly organized self-starter who possesses a passion for media and emerging technology. You are a strategic and creative thinker, apt at solving problems while efficiently managing all aspects of digital and social media marketing and advertising to carry out a measurable successful marketing and communications plan.  

In conjunction with the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for the design, execution, management, and measurement of marketing and communication plans for Chai Lifeline Canada. You will create and develop presentation materials for external and internal, audiences for public education and awareness of Chai Lifeline Canada’s activities. You will frequently liaise with all departments to plan and execute marketing and communications activities supporting their efforts and offerings. 

 

Key Position Accountabilities: 

  • Effectively manage a team of two marketing professionals
  • Develop marketing strategies and execute campaigns to raise awareness of and engagement with Chai Lifeline Canada’s mission incorporating our fundraising, family services, and volunteering initiatives into the plans 
  • Measure performance of content and campaigns with appropriate ROI, KPIs, and other metrics to develop insights to optimize future activities.
  • Create, schedule, and manage a social content calendar that grows online presence, using tools such as Hootsuite. 
  • Create  engaging content, copy, and creative, ensuring all content is on-brand and customized for different target audiences 
  • Manage all Digital platform content for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc, and keep abreast of new social media platforms that emerge 
  • Create, manage, and optimize paid social/search campaigns using Feathr, Meta Ads and Google Ads Manager.
  • Actively monitor and respond to online inquiries on social media 
  • Work with staff and volunteers to develop and implement initiatives for new audiences through events, promotions, and other communications/marketing efforts 
  • Collaborate with Operations team on maintenance of website 
  • Create and develop print and presentation materials for public education, marketing, and general communication 
  • Build relationships with social influencers 
  • Assess marketing trends and best practices in order to leverage the latest techniques to continually elevate the impact of marketing campaigns within the portfolio 
  • Ensure Chai Lifeline Canada’s strategic focus is appropriately communicated in all outgoing materials, including fundraising and general communications, ensuring effectiveness of Chai Lifeline Canada’s messaging and impact in the community 
  • Test new ways to grow the brand community and drive engagement 
  • As needed, perform other duties as assigned to support the effective operation of Chai Lifeline Canada

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a marketing and communications role in a professional environment 
  • Degree in either Marketing, Communications, or PR, or equivalent experience 
  • Solid understanding of marketing principles 
  • Experience with project management and working with nonprofit organizations is a plus 
  • Ability to analyze data and uncover opportunities to optimize performance 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (copywriting experience is required) 
  • Multi-tasker with a strong work ethic 
  • Hands-on team player with the ability to work independently 
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing environments 
  • Expertise with digital media tools and products like Hootsuite, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads Manager, Constant Contact, WordPress, Elementor, Canva, Feathr etc 
  • Great eye for creative (bonus if you have experience creating/curating content) 
  • A passion for the details 
  • Familiarity with Jewish community values is an asset
