Marketing Intern – Summer 2025

(Remote with occasional in-person events)

About Chai Lifeline:

For over 18 years, Chai Lifeline Canada has been providing services and programs to children and families who are living with chronic or life-threatening pediatric illness. At Chai Lifeline Canada you will be part of a team that is dedicated to living our core values, leading with integrity and mutual respect for one-another. We provide care beyond our roles with empathy, dedication and humility.

The Role:

Chai Lifeline Canada is looking for an outgoing and creative Social Media & Marketing Intern to join our team this summer. If you’re bursting with ideas and excited to bring them to life — not just brainstorm but do the thing — we want to hear from you.

This role is ideal for someone who’s confident, people-focused, and ready to help us tell powerful stories that support children and families facing illness. You’ll get real experience in digital marketing, content creation, and nonprofit storytelling — and make a real impact while doing it.

What You’ll Do:

Content Creation & Social Media

  • Pitch and create social media content (graphics, reels, stories, posts).
  • Attend in-person programs/events to capture content (photo/video/stories/live).
  • Help maintain our content calendar and adapt content for trends and hashtags.
  • Engage with our audience online — respond to DMs/comments and track performance.

Content & File Organization

  • Organize and tag photos/videos in our Dropbox folders.
  • Help us identify and sort visuals by theme (e.g., Camp, Bike4Chai, Gala).
  • Follow naming conventions and keep everything tidy and easy to find.
  • Help to build a content library of stories, videos, and quotes.

Team Collaboration

  • Bring fresh ideas to the table — and take the lead on making them happen.
  • Support newsletters, blog posts, and campaign content as needed.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator.
  • Other additional duties that may be assigned by your team leader

You Are:

  • A go-getter. You don’t wait for someone else to act on an idea — you take the lead.
  • People-person. Comfortable approaching people at events to get that great shot or short interview.
  • Detail-savvy. You like to keep things organized and take pride in well-tagged & organized files.
  • A creative thinker. You know how to make content that grabs attention.
  • Motivated by meaning. You want your work to matter — and it will.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, PR, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Experience (academic or professional) in social media, content creation, or graphic design.
  • Comfortable with Instagram, TikTok, and Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiar with Dropbox or other file management tools.

Nice to Have:

  • Access to your own vehicle for occasional travel
  • Your own laptop

Interested applicants should email their resume to [email protected].
