Hi all! My name is Nechama Dubrawsky and I have been the Chai Lifeline event coordinator for over a year now!

From all the work I’ve done, being a part of the Chai lifeline family, and witnessing the incredible work they do on a daily basis is the most rewarding feeling I have ever experienced.

I am currently planning on of our largest events of the year- Cottage Day! Cottage day is graciously hosted by the Turk family, and it is a time when families come together for a day of fun, outdoor activities, swimming, boating, BBQ, and so much more. We are always careful to make sure we have activities that are exciting for every age demographic, so everyone is sure to have a great time.  The tent keeps everyone dry during the inevitable yearly downpour – and the music plays on as the kids dance in the rain, totally carefree.

What I love most about my job is the positivity I experience. At Chai lifeline we are there for every need of our families. The hardships, and the good times. My job is to give our families the opportunity to experience joy in the midst of everything that they are going through, to give the children a time to just be children and to enjoy their youth, and to give parents a much needed break while their children socialize. Best of all, it’s in a setting where parents have the opportunity to connect  with other parents that are going through similar situations.

Very often people feel isolated when going through hard times. What is so incredibly special about our events is that no one feels alone. We are all in this together, as one family.

Thank you Chai lifeline families for giving me the opportunity to be apart of something so great!

Nechama
