Today, we’re excited to introduce you to Etty, a vibrant 10-year-old who’s channeling her enthusiasm and generosity into supporting Chai Lifeline Canada. Etty’s personal connection to the organization through her sister has ignited a passion to give back and help other families in need.
We had the pleasure of chatting with Etty about her fundraising efforts and her special connection with Chai Lifeline Canada. Here’s what she had to share.
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Hi! I’m Etty, I’m 10 years old, and I’m going into grade 5. My sister is a Chai Lifeline Canada client, and they’ve done so much for my family, so I really wanted to give back!
Why are you fundraising for Chai-a-Thon?
I’m fundraising for Chai-a-Thon because Chai Lifeline has helped my family a lot, and I want to help other kids and families who need it too. It’s my way of saying thank you and making a difference!
How are you fundraising for Chai-a-Thon?
I’m asking my friends and family to donate, and I’m also hoping to set up a lemonade stand or a bake sale. It’s really fun to think of new ways to raise money!
What is your favourite part about Chai Lifeline Canada?
My favourite part is Camp Lifeline! I love going on fun trips with my friends every day! I also love hanging out with my big sister. We go out once a week and do fun activities together like get ice cream and get our nails done together!
How does it feel to be fundraising for Chai Lifeline Canada?
It feels amazing! I’m so excited to know that the money I raise will help other kids and families who need Chai Lifeline’s help. It makes me feel really proud!
