Chloe told me that volunteering with Chai Lifeline is one of the better decisions she’s ever made. She’s a leader in the Big Sister program, and keeps finding new things that she shares with Maya, her Little Sister.
“We’re both really energetic, and love the outdoors, so there’s never a dull moment when I’m with Maya. We’re always laughing together and seeing her smile is the most incredible and humbling experience”
Volunteers like Chloe are the heart of Chai Lifeline, she told me all about Maya last month at our volunteer appreciation barbecue.
“I see a totally different side of Maya,” she told me, “and it’s incredibly rewarding to feel like you’re really making a difference in someone’s life.”
I constantly hear from families about incredible volunteers. The “lifesavers” and “angels” who give their time and energy to Chai Lifeline inspire me every day, they are the most amazing group of people I could ever imagine working with, and they are the ones who contribute so much of themselves to make Chai Lifeline the organization that it is.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of our volunteers, for being so generous with your time, and with your hearts.
