The financial devastation that can occur when one parent misses work for extended periods of time or leaves work entirely to care for their child/spouse, can upset even the best-functioning family unit. Our annual Toy Drive and Chanukah Heroes program can bring some happiness and joy to our Chai families.

Chai Lifeline shines some light each year for our families during Chanukah! 

Wishes from our Chai warriors usually include items like Nintendo Switch, Lego sets, American Girl, Musical keyboard and experiences such as iFLY, Rock Climbing, The Science Centre and The Happy Place and so much more!

While Chai Lifeline accepts new, unopened toys all year round, the holidays are our busiest season. Large toy collection boxes are placed in schools and synagogues around the city for collection. These toys are placed in a ‘toy store’ in our office for Big Siblings to take as they need for their Chai Sibs, for case managers to take down to the hospital for their daily visits, for when clients visit our office, or for birthday gifts and special celebrations! 

It is because of our special Chanukah Heroes and Toy Drive that we are able to bring many smiles!!
