Hola!  My name is Silvia Schwarz and I have the honour of being the Office Administrator at Chai Life Line Canada. I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. In 2003 I moved to Canada with my husband and started a new life, for about 10 years I was working part time and taking care of my three beautiful children.

My adventure with Chai Lifeline began 16 months ago, when I decided that my children were big enough for me to pursue a full-time career. After few months of interviews and hopeless nights I received a call to join this amazing organization. Even though this is a Jewish non-for-profit, it is open to help and support any family without any discrimination.

Being the Office Administrator I am the welcoming face at our office. This includes receiving donations of toys for our Chai Warriors, and money for our ongoing programs. I don’t only get to see the smile on the face of the donor, I get to see the bigger smile on the child’s face when they come into our office to receive their gift or when from time to time I drop them at their houses. This is the most rewarding and inspiring part of my job here at Chai Lifeline. I get to see first hand how our community is helping us fight illness with love with the simple token of donating a brand new toy or funds.

Thank you to everyone for their ongoing generosity and support. You play a big role in putting smiles on the faces of our Warriors and their families.
