The 40-minute set, part of a wider fundraising gala organized by Chai Lifeline Canada, was a brief foray across Bocelli’s musical catalogue, but enough to please the sellout crowd at Vaughan’s Universal EventSpace.

Attendees were taken by surprise as the renowned tenor’s cherished instrument went under the hammer, fetching an astounding $150,000 in a fervent bidding war.
The gala, held at the Universal Event Space in Vaughan, ON, aimed to raise funds for Chai Lifeline Canada’s crucial initiatives supporting children battling serious illnesses and their families. However, the unexpected auction of Bocelli’s guitar added an extra layer of excitement and philanthropic fervor to the evening.
