Chai Lifeline Honours Dr. Michael Apkon, President & CEO of SickKids, Toronto

The partnerships that Chai Lifeline builds with hospitals around the world provide crucial support that makes hospital stays easier and more pleasant for young patients and their families. Chai Lifeline and Chai Lifeline Canada are proud to partner with SickKids Foundation and its president and CEO, Dr. Michael Apkon.  On Tuesday, December 4, Dr. Apkon was presented with the Maimonides Medical Achievement Award at Chai Lifeline’s Annual Gala in recognition of his accomplishments and commitment to children’s health.  As a health-care executive, Dr. Apkon has led systems development and improvement to drive high quality and safe care, improve clinical operations, and promote an integrated approach to health care across a continuum of services.  Under Dr. Apkon’s leadership, SickKids continues to enhance and improve health care outcomes for children with serious illnesses.
